YouTuber Jacksfilms (Jack Douglass) has been in a feud with fellow YouTuber SSSniperwolf (Alia Shelesh) for some time, but the drama between the two recently escalated after Jacksfilms accused SSSniperwolf of “doxxing” him.
On October 14, Shelesh allegedly filmed Douglass’ address, posting a video to her 5.6 million Instagram followers. Writing on X (Twitter), Douglass described Shelesh’s actions as “Creepy, gross, violating.”
Jacksfilms has 4.9 million subscribers on YouTube and 469,000 followers on Twitch, while SSSniperwolf has 34 million YouTube subscribers, and 341,000 followers on Twitch.
How did the feud between Jacksfilms and SSSniperwolf begin?
SSSniperwolf has been creating content on YouTube for a decade, having pivoted from gaming to reaction videos, now known for reacting to TikTok clips.
Jacksfilms is known for comedy and parody videos, but has been highly critical of SSSniperwolf’s reaction videos, accusing her of creating low-effort content by stealing ideas from TikTok creators, without proper credit or acknowledgment.
Jacksfilms has made several videos on YouTube where he has called out SSSniperwolf, even going as far as to create a secondary YouTube channel titled “JJJacksfilms,” featuring 64 videos in which he criticizes and reacts to SSSniperwolf’s reaction videos.
Eventually, SSSniperwolf hit back on X, responding to Jacksfilms: “I’m going to have to start charging u 20% since you get your ideas from me.”
Jacksfilms replied, sarcastically: “I invented reacting to other people’s TikToks; anyone else is copying me. Incredible mental gymnastics.”
SSSniperwolf gave a mocking response: “Wahhh I can’t stand that a female YouTuber is getting more views than me even tho I make the same content grrrr life is hard!!!!”
She went on to reference the secondary channel JJJacksfilms, writing: “For context, jackfilms made another channel where he copied my content for a few months thinking it would blow up and get millions of views. it didn’t. now he is mad.”
The feud intensified after SSSniperwolf made a derogatory comment about Jack’s hairline, but soon deleted the post.
There’s nothing new about content creators stealing ideas from one another, making low-effort videos, or even turning drama and rivalry into content, but SSSniperwolf appears to have taken the feud to another level.
SSSniperwolf visits Jacksfilms
On Instagram, SSSniperwolf wrote: “Should I go visit @jacksfilms? He lives 5 mins away from my shoot.”
She then posted a photo, allegedly from outside Jack’s house, writing on Instagram: “Let’s talk like adults.” SSSniperwolf deleted the Instagram posts after backlash; Jack then accused her of “doxxing” him.
SSSniperwolf took objection to the accusation, writing on Instagram: “I have no idea how to Dox. He literally posted his address on Google and said I threatened him and doxxed him.”
She went on to write: “This creep has been harassing me for months then plays victim saying I threatened him when I just wanted to talk to him.”
SSSniperwolf then posted a clip of herself scrolling through the large amount of videos that Jack has made about her. She then sarcastically asked her followers if she should take action with a “restraining order.”
In turn, Jack took objection to her accusation, writing on X: “The ‘harassing’ you claim I’ve been doing is documenting recent examples of you stealing creators’ content, stealing jokes, and failing to provide transformative commentary.”
Jack then pushed back against her “restraining order” comment by pointing out that “one of us showed up to the other’s house tonight…and it wasn’t me.”
After the incident, Jacksfilms has called on YouTube to take action, posting a video titled “SSSniperwolf came to our home last night. It’s time for YouTube to step in.” The video has since accumulated more than 3.7 million views.
How did YouTube respond?
YouTube’s policies clearly forbid harmful behavior, specifically “threats or doxxing,” but YouTube took several days to take action against SSSniperwolf’s channel, or even to issue a clear statement on the issue.
On October 19, YouTube’s official account on X seemed to jokingly acknowledge the controversy, writing: “Would it be too meta to do a reaction video to a reaction video.”
The post drew condemnation from YouTube fans and creators, with some describing the post as “tone deaf” or accusing YouTube of “favoritism.”
Popular creators Asmongold, Pokimane and MoistCr1TiKal all condemned SSSniperWolf’s behavior and expressed support for Jacksfilms.
Today on X, YouTube responded to Jacksfilms, confirming that SSSniperwolf’s channel has received a temporary monetization suspension.
SSSniperwolf then posted a lengthy apology to Jacksfilms, writing:
“I’m sorry to Jacksfilm, YouTube, the entire creator community, and my incredible fans for not being a better example for appropriate conflict resolution. Jacksfilm, while we certainly don’t see eye to eye and have our differences, I am sorry for reacting the way I did when I should’ve taken the opportunity to show young creators how adults and professionals resolve conflict by communicating directly, respectfully, and privately; not for views or content, but a meaningful example of how conflict should be solved. I will reach out directly and hope we can find some time to connect and communicate, respectfully.”
