This has been rumored for a while, but Bandai Spirits will be making a Proplica version of the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda games.
To explain what that means to the uninitiated, the Proplica toyline is one that recreates famous props from anime and games at full scale. That means life size versions of things like Simon’s Core Drill from Gurren Lagan.
The various Proplica toys also come with an array of sound and lighting gimmicks, so I am fully expecting something similar when it comes to the Master Sword.
Details on pricing and release date are currently unknown, but it will likely be in the 20,000 yen to 30,000 yen price bracket (if the various life size Demon Slayer swords are anything to go by).
The prototype of the Proplica Master Sword is currently on show at Tamashii Nations 2023 in Akihabara. While the display has a stone diorama at the base, it’s not clear whether this will be sold with the toy at a later date. However, I would expect this Proplica Master Sword to retain its famous scabbard.
Apart from that, I only hope that Bandai Spirits will follow up with a life size version of the Hylian Shield, as then the set would be complete.
