Earlier this year we found out that Ace Combat 7 was coming to the Switch this July, and the latest gameplay trailer shows the game looks very good indeed.
I reviewed the PlayStation 4 version back when it was released in 2019. It was a very good game indeed and took the series back to the Strangereal setting.
It also featured a story by renowned writer and director Sunao Katabuchi, as well as a much loved JPEG Dog.
This new trailer (shown below) finally gives us a proper look at the gameplay side of things, and it holds up very well.
I was expecting the Switch to struggle with something like Ace Combat 7, but the results are genuinely impressive, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
This is also the “Deluxe Edition” of the game and features 6 of the DLC packs as well as new skins and a bunch of other content. The remaining DLC packs will also be sold separately.
Previously, the game was slated for a July 26 release, but this has been pulled forward to July 11, which is a nice surprise.
So if you missed out on Ace Combat 7 back in 2019 and have a Switch, you absolutely need to pick this up once it drops this July.
