Wordle Analysis
Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.
Pretty good guessing game from the start today. SPATE left me with a green and yellow box and just 27 remaining options. SALON slashed that number down to just 2. I only thought of one, and the moment I thought of it I knew SAVOR would be correct. Lucky for me, it wasn’t SAVOY!
I owe my success today to the fact that I was eating some delicious leftovers. I made slow-cooked Korean beef for game night, and just had some with rice and it was even better a day later. Huzzah for leftovers!
Competitive Wordle Score
I tied the Bot today so no points for that. 1 point for guessing in three, however. 1 point for me! Wahoo!
How To Play Competitive Wordle
Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day.
Today’s Wordle Etymology
The word “savor” has its origins in Middle English, derived from the Old French word “savour,” which means “taste, flavor, or aroma.” The Old French term comes from the Latin word “saporem,” which is the accusative form of “sapor,” meaning “taste, flavor.” This Latin word is related to the verb “sapere,” which means “to taste, have taste, be wise.” The root of these words is found in the Proto-Indo-European root “*sep-” meaning “to taste, perceive.”
