Courtesy of those consistently brilliant people at First 4 Figures, Samus in her Gravity Suit from the Metroid Prime games is getting a new statue later this year.
The Gravity Suit first showed up in Super Metroid, but has also appeared in other games since. Such as Metroid Prime and even Metroid Zero Mission among many others.
While this depiction is technically from Metroid Prime, it’s similar enough to the version of the Gravity Suit seen in Super Metroid as well, so it covers off a few bases for old school Metroid fans.
Priced currently at a discounted $149.99 and released later this year, this is a fixed posed PVC statue with a Screw Attack themed stand. It also lights up, with the visor even showing Samus’ face (shown above), which is an especially nice touch.
First 4 Figures also has a long history of excellent Metroid related statues, with their Light Suit statue from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes being one of my personal favorites.
While Good Smile Company has done a bunch of artculated figma related toys of Samus over the years, with the most recent being from Metroid Dread. These statues are bigger, fixed pose and actually light up.
You can also pick up the amazing Metroid Prime Remastered on Switch right now, and Metroid Prime 4 is finally on its way with its release next year.
For now at least, Samus has a very nice Gravity Suit statue to look forward to and that makes me very happy indeed.
